Kenbe La Foundation & Purple Cake Day
We support Kenbe La Foundation Charitable Trust. Kenbe La means ‘Never Give Up’ in Haitian Creole and this organisation is a vehicle for hope for disadvantaged children of Haiti. The organisation helps build school buildings, provides educational resources for schools and children in Haiti together with their partnership organisations.
Purple Cake Day is an annual awareness and fundraising event for Kenbe La Foundation. It aims to celebrate and empower our children to help kids in need worldwide and to promote awareness of child poverty in developing countries.
Nelson Arts Festival
Savage & Savage are proud to once again sponsor a show at the Nelson Arts Festival. This year the festival runs from 16th October and finishes on 27th October. This is the 20th anniversary of the Nelson Arts Festival and we have watched it grow from a few shows over a weekend to an event that is now a key part of the Nelson community.
While many shows are ticketed events there are a number of free community events with the annual Masked Parade and following Carnivale the super star free public events.
When we heard a performer we have sponsored previously is returning we jumped at the opportunity to sponsor her show once again. Belgian chanteuse Micheline Van Hautem is an enchanting performer and the Sydney Morning Herald said of one of her performances “Short of major surgery, cancel whatever you have on tonight and hear Micheline Van Hautem”

Nelson District Kennel Association
With 5 dog owners in the Savage & Savage office we are also happy to support the Nelson District Kennel Association. This is one of New Zealands oldest dog club and it’s an All Breeds Club affiliated with the New Zealand Kennel Club. They run Championship Shows, Open Shows and Ribbon Parades.
Tasman Makos 500 Club
Savage & Savage are also keen supporters of the Tasman Makos and a Makos 500 Club sponsor as the team contest the 2014 ITM Cup.
